In The Ruins of the Poem, Liviu Ioan Stoiciu penetrates deeply into the ontological, the cycles in the volume being the most noticeable opening towards the primeval the author has ever practiced. He who looks here for the Stoiciu of the earlier works which brought him fame is on the wrong track: the tone is different, genetic, cosmic, the morphology of the poems reminding rather of T. S.
