Imaginatia lui Ioan Flora e debordant-fastuoasa, in proximitatea unei reverii cvasionirice, saturate de sintagme emblematice, amintindu-l pa S.-J. Perse, insa, in mod surprinzator, indeosebi pe A. E. Baconsky din Echinoxul nebunilor. Retorica ampla, ceremonioasa a poemului in proza antreneaza voluptati inflamant-ardente ale misteriosului si arata daca nu o vocatie, in orice caz o modalitate a liricii de tip vizionar. Ioan Flora's imagination is boundless sumptuous, close to quasi-oneiric reverie, saturated with emblematic syntagms, reminiscent of S.-J. Perse but, surprisingly, most of all of A. E. Baconsky in The Equinox of the Mad. The ample, ceremonious rhetoric of the prose poem reveals the ardent, fervent voluptuousness of the mysterious and proves, if not a vocation, a mode of visionary lyricism. (Petru Poanta)
