Dumitru Radu Popa are in scris o oralitate elaborata, ca Ion Creanga.
scrie, intreaga literatura romana si o continua, inteligent, inventiv,
plin de nerv. (Alex. Stefanescu)
Dumitru Radu Popa displays in his writings a quite sophisticated taste for the
oral style, like Ion Creanga. He is though not only a disciple of Caragiale.
The author may be compared with many other Romanian writers (including the ceremonious
Al. Odobescu), but in the end the comparison that fits him the best is... with
himself: for D.R. Popa is an author who, when writing, is full of the whole
Romanian literature that he continues with intelligence, wit, and creativity.
(Alex Stefanescu)
Literatura romana clasica... (Andrei Codrescu)
About the Romanian Revolution is an amazing book! A first class novel with some
memorable scenes that I admired as I've had been at the theater... Even better,
being home I could fully enjoy and laugh at ease. Comic, tragic and panicky!
Romanian classic literature at its best! (Andrei Codrescu)
