Nazuinta lui Mircea Iorgulescu e catre densitatea texturii, orgolios urmarita spre a se exclude frazele de convenienta, ochiurile goale ale ezitarii. Verbul sau se exerseaza in a strabate drumul cel mai scurt pana la semnificatia dorita. Placerea criticului consta in a urmari un soi de atractie magnetica a frazelor, uneori reduse la aceasta performanta mecanica. Astfel “existenta” sa aproape nu mai razbate prin liniile desenului exact, caruia i s-a supus. (Gheorghe Grigurcu)


Mircea Iorgulescu aspires to the density of the text, at which he proudly aims in order to exclude established sentences, the loopholes of hesitation. He exercises his words in taking the shortest way to reach the desired significance. The critic's pleasure is to follow some kind of a magnetic attraction of the sentences, sometimes reduced to this mechanical performance. So, his “existence” almost no longer penetrates through the lines of the precise drawing, which it has obeyed. (Gheorghe Grigurcu)
